Just a few weeks after opening, we were lucky enough to host one of the UK’s biggest stars.
James Morrison played a rare free gig with us on November 11. We distributed the tickets with the help of Wave 105 and just a few lucky people got to get ‘Up Close & Personal’ with James, ahead of his bigger gig at the O2 Academy on November 23.
He delighted the crowd with a mixture of new material and old favourites. What’s more, James was a dream to work with – no diva demands, just raw talent and passion! Scroll down for a video from the night to find out more.
Before the gig, he shocked diners at Koh Thai, which is opposite Canvas, by strolling in for some pre-gig Thai tapas.
“James Morrison was awesome and I can honestly say one of the nicest artists I’ve met!” said James Maidment. “Down to earth, humble and passionate about what he does.2
