Whisky tasting at Canvas
There can’t be anything more decadent than a glass of whisky. But did you know some simple food pairings, like chocolate and cheese, can bring out the flavour even more! Join Colin Dunn, who is a whiskey ambassador for Diageo UK, for a tasting masterclass at Canvas.
This special event is not to be missed. Guests will be seated in the Live Lounge and sample not one but FIVE Scotch Whiskies with Colin. Like wine, whisky has a unique flavour based on how and where it is brewed. Do you have the tastebuds to tell the difference?
Like all liquor, the more expensive brands tend to be the best but it is all down to individual taste.
Once the sampling is done, Canvas general manager Ben Piercy will be on hand to created three whiskey cocktails to demonstrate the versatility of the flavour. Whiskey works well in all sorts of cocktails – sweet and sour – so be prepared to take notes on how to prepare your favourite cocktail at home.
Want to buy your favourite whiskey? We will be offering a ‘buy now, collect later’ service to ensure everyone gets to sip their favourite in the comfort of their own home.
Tickets just £10 for members, £20 otherwise.
For more information call us at Canvas HQ – any time from 10am til 5pm – on 01202 556113 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
And in the words of Mark Twain: “Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough.”
“Give an Irishman lager for a month, and he’s a dead man. An Irishman is lined with copper,
and the beer corrodes it. But whiskey polishes the copper and is the saving of him.”
